A Christmas to remember

Brian's first Christmas was very special. Of course we would have loved to have been with our whole family and have the traditional "white christmas", but since we decided to stay here we made the best of it. It started with Christmas Eve John and I baked the traditional Nestle tollhouse cookies and gave out to our nieghbors. Then we went to the candelight service at our church. It was a good time to show Brian the real meaning of Christmas. My sister and her family went and we spent time with several close friends we met at church. After the service we took Brian to see Christmas lights and then met my sister and her family at Chili's. Bailey and Skye were worried the whole time they wouldn't get to bed in time for Santa! They still had to bake cookies. So cute. We went home and put Brian to bed and tried to go to bed myself...I still get a little excited about Christmas morning. Brian FINALLY woke up at 7:30. I fed him while John made the hot cocoa. Then we read the story of Jesus birth from the bible and then opened the gifts. Diesel and Sadie both got new beds and a pig bone. (Trust me...they like it) Brian was so cute. It looked like he was really trying to open the presents...even though he just liked ripping paper. He got lots of wonderful new toys and clothes. John got Brian his first Jersey. Imagine his surprise when Colleen and Ryan got HIM one. He also got his sisters favorite cookies and traditional chocolate santa. Brian was so excited he was out again by 9:00am. Good thing because after his nap we drove over to Dearmas house for Christmas part two and a lovely dinner. We didn't get back home till about ten o'clock. It was a good day.
